Parent responsibility for protecting their children on-line
23 July, 2010
In an article recently published in the British Medical Journal, Dr Russell Viner and colleagues from the Institute of Child Health at University College warned that parents could face being put on a child protection register for child neglect where they fail to help their obese child eat healthily or exercise regularly.
By analogy parents who recklessly allow their children free access to pornographic or violent images on the web without screening their children's internet access could similarly be running the same risk of being criminally accused of child neglect.
