CYBERminder™ Continues Expansion With Expo Launch in Jersey

ALL PARENTS WANT TO PROTECT THEIR CHILDREN from the dangers of the internet.  If you are worried about how to keep them safe when online, then a new product CYBERminder™ will be of great interest.

Now being launched at the Jersey Evening Post Home Life Show 2010, and available in the UK, this simple system allows parents unrestricted access to the internet, whilst making sure their children can only view material which is appropriate to their age group. CYBERminder packs contain two special USB keys – parents use the 'Supervise' key, and their children use the age-appropriate 'Protect' key.  Once the right key is plugged into a spare USB socket, the system operates automatically.

CYBERminder has been specifically designed to enable parents to prevent awful cases like that in Cornwall.

It is easy to assume that if your children are happy at home on their computer, playing games, downloading music or doing homework, they are perfectly safe.

But in September a man in Truro was jailed for eight-and-half years after grooming up to a 1,000 children on social networking sites, including Facebook, Bebo and MSN Messenger.

He created seven false identities on the sites he stalked while grooming potential victims.

This news story serves as a timely warning to parents that, sadly, children can be extremely vulnerable - even when they are within the home.
