Internet parental control for 9 to 12 year olds

9 TO 12: The simple solution for your child’s online protection

From the age of around nine, children become more aware of internet content – and much more curious. In fact, it is common for children to know more about the internet than their parents.

Up to one in 12 of British children have gone on to meet someone in reality after they first made contact on the internet – scary but true.

CYBERminder™ enables you, as a parent, to restrict your child's online access – without any technical knowledge – and blocks access to the following types of websites and services:

  • Adult material and themes, e.g. pornography, sexually explicit sites
  • Gambling sites
  • Blogs and chat, e.g. MSN messenger, Chat Roulette, photo and video sharing websites, e.g. Facebook, YouTube
  • "Peer to Peer" file sharing services, e.g. PirateBay
  • Auctions and classified advertising, e.g. eBay, Craigslist, Gumtree

CYBERminder™ 9 - 12 allows access to Google, Yahoo! and Bing "Safe Search" engines to ensure that searching the Internet provides your child with content that is appropriate, and of interest, to their age.

How easy is CYBERminder™ to install and use?

CYBERminder™ can be installed and operated without any technical knowledge and protecting your child takes just four simple steps:

  1. Insert the SUPERVISE (blue) key in any USB port on your PC
  2. Follow the simple onscreen instructions
  3. Remove the SUPERVISE (blue) key from your PC
  4. Insert the PROTECT (yellow) key into any USB port on your PC

For unrestricted access you simply remove the PROTECT key and plug in your SUPERVISE key. If no CYBERminder™ key is plugged into your PC then your computer will continue to function normally but will not be able to access the Internet.

Your child is now protected – it’s that easy!
